A word of support for Andy Steele – he delivered a lovely mini-set of melodic self written songs showing influences from McCartney, through Sid Griffin and onto Lindisfarne and Alan Hull. He has a distinctive and strong voice which is perfectly suited to his material. He has one album available, Land And Sea, and a new one True Believers And the Guises Of The Weasel slated for release this summer. Keep an eye open for him – he has the talent that deserves to succeed.

Andy Steele released his debut album, Land and Sea, in February 2006 as the group MuddyHead. Featuring the artwork and bass playing of China Crisis singer Gary Daly, the pedal steel of Gorkys Zygotic Mynci's John Lawrence and the drums of The Coal Porter's Graham Chesters, it was producd by Andy and featured Miracle Cure, which became a minor radio hit thanks to Radio 2s' Mark Radcliffe, Janice Long and Tim Smith.

After opening for America and Roxy Music, his second LP, True Believers and the Guises of the Weasel, was released under his own name at the end of 2007. It is reviewed in the July 08 edition of Sound On Sound magazine

Work has now started on a third LP, Night Fishing,produced by Andy and Jez Wing. Jez, along with banjo player John Dowling, was one half of folk award winning group The Black Cat Theory and is a piano player, singer and songwriter of high acclaim.

Liverpool singer Jack Roberts and Andy have been playing some dates as a two piece recently, and the shows have been received very well. They played at the Liverpool One show at the Echo Arena in February, then again at The Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool in March, and recently at Liverpool's Sound City. More gigs coming shortly.
